Mei Kong Valley

The casual observer may simply state Talyun and Mei Kong culture to be the same.  While there are clearly similarities and possibly a shared genesis their is a distinct unique quality to the Mei Kong.

The Mei Kong believes in trickle down morality but instead of an Emperor it is ruled by a council of peaceful warriors called the Shogun.  The shogun are a faithless sect worshiping instead the mystical force.  They seek harmony with the world around them and use the power of their mind to seek enlightenment dedicated to self sacrifice and service of others.  Their powers of the mind allow them to read minds, telepathically communicate, move objects and have premonitions of the future.

The council of shogun rule from their 'Temple' in Bei Jing and the center of the valley surrounded by farm country.  The name Mei Kong means beautiful east.  Their temple and city and way of life has been drawn into constant conflict due to the Shogun's eternal rivalry with the SIth.  The Sith are as the opposite side of the shogun coin. Using the force but with opposing ideologies.

Yet they survive in their humble ways, most recently bending knee to the EMpress, may she live forever, due to former master Jeric Windstarr's allegiance to the empire and his leadership of the Shogun.
