Edward was doing very well for himself. His girlfriend met all his financial needs and gave a good cover. He had aquired partnership in nearly 2 dozen shops. Pretty steady stream of income and with with Great Coven interested in secrecy only he had a network of people keeping him hidden. Being a day walker and being connected to Darkness made him very valuable to the Coven. Tatyana had even said so. Oh Tatyana. Just to think of her was intoxicating they way feigh wine was when he was mortal. Fires burned in him like when he had met Morgan the first time. But that was in a life long past in more than one way.
Yet despite his longing for Tatyana, or maybe because of it, he refused to visit her again. He constantly dreamt of her hand on his skin again that seemed to cool and warm all at once. The perfect porcelian skin. How she was pleasing to every detail. How she looked, and how she smelt, and how she tasted. Oh how she tasted. He was so lost in thoughts of her that he barely noticed the man he was suppose to be talking to as they walked through town. He owned a shipping company that carried an assortment of goods manufactured in TradeCity to elsewhere in the world. Not cheap animal skins or raw wool like the others he had taken over but these were finished products. Dresses, furniture, glass statues, Ceramic bowls and everything else a person could need adn not need. Though the partnership could make Edward a lot of money, he was not concerned- the man's will was already surrendered.
As they stood halfway across one of the large bridges that spanned the large river which divided the city, Edward stopped and looked towards Tatyana's estate and debated if a visit would really be that dangerous.
The moment he did that he felt himself ensnared by a whirlwind and spun. Struggle as he may he could not fight the force of the whirlwind and was pushed into the flowing river. He reformed attempting to use his teleport ring. He tried to activate it but it seemed as if something had deactivated it. He saw the holy symbol of Hades as he felt a carefully measured blade slide through his skin, muscle and bones. He knew he was lost. But who? Why? Edward had many enemies and a past he could not out run, even running through both sides of death and rebirth.
